Win 2000 pro Internet connection....HELP!!!

Dont know if im in the right place but here goes anyway.....
I have my 56k modem on auto redial after the connection drops..for some strange reason it does not redial..could this be a ISP prob or has the registery been altered in some strange ,invisible way......this is really bugging me now...many thx

I could be wrong here but i think auto redial only redials if it does not connect when dialing up, not after a dropped connection.

A colegue has informed me i am wrong but it is a common win2000 prob.
