Will Windows XP 64-bit run older FoxPro versions?

Has anyone tried to run FoxPro for DOS/Windows with Windows XP 64-bit beta installed on an AMD 64-bit processor? Intel is coming out with a 64-bit CPU version in a few months but for now it's only AMD. This excerpt from a news article makes me wonder if and how many DOS programs will run:

What we can't expect is support for Microsoft DOS... Goodbye DOS. Sixty four bit Windows won't run 16-bit code and so 16-bit installers could be tricky too. However, if there's a 32-bit installer, Windows will seek it out and run it. As far as 32-bit file system filter drivers and kernel mode drivers are concerned, Win64 XP will need them to be native - that means that 32-bit kernel system drivers will fall over.

Since XP already emulates DOS, as I understand it, is it just a matter of rewriting the emulation? Although surely at some point even the last of the old die-hard DOS fans (or others who are trying not to rewrite what has worked well for all these years) may have to throw in the towel. Is the the "Great Divide" of a watershed event or is this yet another problem to work around?

Your observations are welcome.

(I am being careful not to take one side or the other, but I do applaude the upcoming 64-bit changeover. Linux already has is and very soon now so will Windows.)

I don't know if it will work with 64-bit windows but foxpro works fine on amd 64.

You recall that MS bought out Connectix and their Virtual Windows products a few months ago.

So I think the MS legacy solution will be (or already is) to use their Virtual Windows product to host eg win95 or DOS.

For the budgetarily challenged amongst us, there is a GPLed product, bochs, which emulates an x86 and hence will do the same thing - if you can find someone versed in gnu software to set it up for you
