Will Windows Mobile app run on Pocket PC 2002 OS? 1

I tried installing my Pocket PC app that I developed in Visual Studio .NET 2003 (and which was working on my device running Pocket PC OS) to a Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. I got a message saying that the program may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows Mobile Software. So I'm thinking aobut upgrading the app in Visual Studio .NET 2005. Before I install VS .NET 2005 I need to know two things:

1. Do I have to develop the app from scratch or there's a way to convert the app from VS .NET 2003 into VS .NET 2005?
2. Will Windows Mobile [5.0] app be backwards compatible, meaning it will run on a Pocket PC device running previous versions of the OS, such as Pocket PC 2002/2003?

1) Depends on the components you used. There are some third party components that break when you upgrade. If you used all Microsoft components, then you shouldn't have any problems. If you use 2005's upgrade procedure it will show you any issues it encountered.

2) I personally haven't tested it, but MS claims that it will be.
