I know XP has its online verification etc.
I have a corporate version. I am going to be upgrading my processor from XP2000 to XP 3000 and inserting a new video card. Will I need to reinstall XP??

Just wondering if I need to start backing stuff up just in case!!!

One thing you could do is install the new cpu and then install the vid card later, maybe it will let you go without any hassle.

Installing the CPU is fine. There isn't a real need to backup. If something goes wrong, your data will remain on your HDD. However, backups should be a performed routinely.

1. Install your CPU.
2. Boot windows
3. Uninstall current Video card drivers
4. Power off PC
5. Replace Video card
6. Boot windows
7. Install new video card drivers
