Will closing ports 8000-8001 affect any critical services?

Could any critical services be affected by closing down these ports? (8000-8001) Specifically VoIP, Chat, Internet, etc... To my understanding ShoutCast streaming radio uses these ports for the incoming music. Sure, a user could theoretically change their reception port settings, but most of our users aren't smart enough to do that.

I just want to make sure that nothing important relies on these ports, such as Voice over IP, Chat, downloading, etc..

Also I want to close 469 (radio control protocol). Will that cause any problems for VoIP?

Shouldn't affeect anything for VOIP.

Sometimes we redirect web server traffic to ports 8000, 80001, or 8080 but that won't affect VOIP.

Thanks Cluebird. We use Voip quite a bit and I'd get destroyed if I accidently killed Voip or some other critical process by closing those ports.
