I'm working on a two-colour job that will be going to press. If I want to proof this file on a desktop printer, will the colours automatically be converted to CMYK, to approxiamate the 2-colours?

Thanks!

Yes - it will approximate any colour - and usually it will be very close. It will not be accurate with colours far too vibrant to reproduce with CMYK inks though (example: vivid orange). Other colours i.e. silver, gold will also reproduce poorly.

Kind Regards
Duncan
