I remotely administrate a W2000 small business server. I dial into a cisco router. Everything works fine but the phone bill is costing me an arm and a leg. How do I implement callback on the router?
You should do it in the server. You need to have administrative access and do it on your profile. Do you and they have DSL or Cable? You could setup a small VPN server on the W2K box and connect to it for free?
I do have the necessary privileges. I set 'call back enabled' in the Server, on my administrator account, but it doesn't call back..
I don't really expect it to because I dial into the cisco router ras box under a dial in name and password which is different to anything on the server. Shouldn't something associated with the router initiate callback?
We do not yet have DSL or cable so VPN is not a goer..
