Hi:

I have been creating reports in 8.5 for a few months now. I have created them by mapping my report builder to the database. I have noticed that other developers create .ttx files first and then create the report. I read that this was the way you had to do things before 8.5. Is this true?

Developers creating the .ttx files say the data either doesn't appear or it isn't formatted - is this because we shouldnt be doing it this way?

clarify please!

Crystal uses the fields based on their position in the file.

And I don't think that ttx files were required for early versions of Crystal Reports in VB, I think that you can use ADO through ODBC.

does this mean I should be using .ttx first? or not?
