why msoffice outlook cannt send mail but can receive?

my ms outlook cannt send mail, each time it tell "timeout when wait SMTP server's response 0x8004210B" or "unkown error 0x800CCC0B",but the send/receive progress show 1/1 task have been successfully completed.
I try restore office xp, but no use.
how can i do?

First thing to do would be to check that your settings are correct.

You said in your header that you can receive mail but not send, check that your settings for sending mail are the same as your settings for receiving mail and if not change them (sending) to the same as your receiving settings as SMTP settings should be the same forboth sending and receiving.

Can I take it that your mail is not leaving your outbox?

My mail is still in my outbox.

I can use outlook express sending and receiving but ms outlook cannt send.

Are you on a network? If so check your connection settings with your Administrator.

If you are not on a network, are you using MS Outlook to conntect to a POP3 server to send and receive mail. As I said in my previous post as you can receive mail just copy these connection settings into your sending settings.

Remove the accounts from Outlook and then File, Import and select the mail account option. This should bring in the working settings from Outlook Express for you. If that doesn't work then there's a fault with Outlook

One last thing to check. Some incoming mail servers do not send outgoing mail. Make sure your settings are going to be the same. If your network provider doesn't send mail use your ISP mail instead.

I try the idea by nberrryman.
but it remain that, the send progress can pass half then doesnt forward. Soon it tell that Error "operation is timeout when waiting for smtp server sending" had happened
