We have 2*Compaq 8500 servers; NT4 EE SP6a connected by Fiber Channel to RA8000 storage array. Oracle 8.1.7 with Failsafe over the top of MSCS.
In node failover, we frequently find that one of the disk resources "Fails" on transition - and has to be brought on-line manually. I am hoping that this is just a "Pending Timeout" issue (currently set to 60 seconds) - but I cannot get any guidance from Compaq, Oracle or Microsoft on what are reasonable values for these parameters.
If anyone has a good working implementation (or good suggestions based on experience) they could share, I would be most grateful.
