Why don't mailboxes show in System Manager

Just installed Exchange 2003. I've been adding mailboxes via AD Directories and Users. I any that I added would then show in the Exchange System Manager under Servers\servername\storagegroup\Mailbox Store\Mailboxes.

Three or four addresses are there that I added yesterday, but none that I added this morning are there. Should they be there automatically or what?

Never mind. Found out that the mailbox has to be assigned to an Outlook client first.
