Hi all,
I'm using the file search, and I've created files in which exists a particular word. This file is a simple text file, but it has an .sql extension. I've specified *.sql in the "All or part of the filename" box, and put the word in the "A word or phrase in the file" box.
Yet search returns nothing. I have the subfolders checked, as well has hidden and system files. I even pasted the exact filename in the "All or part of fielname" box and it still did not find the file which most definitely contains this word. But if I rename the extension to .txt, it will find it.
What's up with that? When you put something in that 'a word or phrase...' box, does it just look at only .txt files even though you *specifically* put an extension and even a full filename in the search box? Is there a switch, registry setting, or something where I could make this search thing actually usefull? Thanks,
