I have a new Okidata 184 printer connected to a new Gateway computer running windows XP Pro and a parrallel connection. The printer worked fine when I first set it up now it has started printing about 2 lines of gibberish when I try to print a test page. What could be wrong? The Okidata site is absolutely NO help. I thought about reloading the print drivers but Okidata doesn't have them available at their site, only a note that says it's included with Win XP. HELP!
PS I've tried connecting to another computer using another cable but it still doesn't work.

You know, my company was hit with this problem on their print servers just the other day. This was traced back to a single workstation infected with the BugBear virus.

Apparently, it either prints blank pages or gibberish from an infected machine. I know you said two machines exibit the same behavior, but it's possible that both may be infected. Double and triple check your antivirus files (anything before Norton 2002 is already out of date.. go buy an upgrade).
