Why do I have to always ping to activate VPN?

It seems every monday morning I need to ping the other Soho 5 box from my soho 6 box. The only way is from the soho 6. This help the other office access our intranet. Is there a way to avoid me to having to ping the other office? Thanks in advance

Its a drawback of the older software of the soho5. Have you checked watchguard's website, I belive they just released new software for the soho5 that may address this problem.

Yes. Please go to Watchguard web site to download the latest Framework/software. The new version can solve this problem so that you do not need to ping it in order to keep VPN live..
