This is a strange problem, that just started happening. On my machine (win2k) When any Access (97) app starts, the main application window starts 'minimized'.

I quote that to say that I don't mean it's down in the taskbar as in 'normal' minimized--it's up in the middle of the screen, but it's at the tiniest size physically possible. When I maximize it, the db window and any open form windows are also minimized--again not at the bottom of the app's mdi window, but in the middle somewhere in tiny windows.

I am *not* calling docmd.minimize or any movesizing commands at startup. And this happens for any Access app on my machine, which leads me to believe it's some sort of registry key or something. Has anyone seen this or know any info about this? Thanks,
T

Dear Troy,

Very weird indeed.

Perhaps the registry is corrupt or perhaps the 'Access ini' file is not being saved. Maybe you have another access application also running. Access saves the settings of the last Access Application running, when it is closed. So, if 2 copies of Access are running, the settings from the last one to close are saved. If the app terminates abnormally, nothing is saved.

Here is what I would do:
1) Make sure that access is not running
2) Run access, but do not open any mdb files
3) Resize Access the way you want.
4) Now exit Access.
5) Rerun Access and see if it starts as desired.

If Access now runs normally, that is good.
If access later shows this same problem, then an Access mdb must be setting the properties, so you must search for that mdb.

Good Luck,
Hap... [2thumbsup]
