Why cannot come back from Hiberation or Standby

Have Dell Latitude that when I put into hibernate or standby, the system will not allow it to come back - outside of powering down and doing a restart.

There was a BIOS update for this issue for the Latitudes, so check the Dell website.

I looked to the kelly website already - wasn't sure anything there was fitting the situation.

Try the BIOS update route. There is a S3 state that is not recoverable that the BIOS update solves.
