Hi,

Somehow bengine.exe overwrites my windows service file everytime it backups... I noticed that when I make changes to the file the next day my changes are gone.

I put an audit on the file and saw that bengine.exe en bremote is doing something with the services file.

I tried to set the services file to Readonly, but then the backup fails, saying in the log that 2 partitions couldn't be backed up. However the services file stays intact.

Anyone a suggestion why during backup the services file is replaced?

BTW: the file has the A (archive) attribute set when it's replaced. (maybe this is important somehow)

Thanks!!!

Thanks!
How did you find that one? I've been searching all the time in the veritas knowledgebase.

I've installed the sp1.
I'll check tomorrow if the problem has resolved.

xp2002,
try to search only for "service file" or "edited service file" in the veritas knowledgebase and you will find the first technote 265796...

Concernig the SP1, it's importand to update also the Remote Agents, like it's written in the "Installation Instructions"
