i have ask this question before but didn't get the rquired result....
I need to monitor the users in respect of total email send per day or received per day.I have the message tracking feature turned on and do i use Excel to sort and view the logfile.
This is taking up too much time and is the logfile actually just a mess.
Is there any other way to get these results so that it makes sense?
Maybe third party software is the only way, but which?

Hi,

Have you tried looking in the mailbox resources in Exchange admin, that will give you an idea off mail useage.

As for third party products, check out Mail Essentials from GFI .I support this on a few sites and although the mail tracking is not its primary function, its really a firewall / mail filtering system, its got quite a useful reporting tool in it.

mailbox resources??? well that shows total kb used but it may be old stuff and doesn't give any stats on incoming and outgoing mail.
i believe Mail Essentials is good, but i thought that there is an cheaper solution.
