Hello,

I have no experience with Windows XP, and I'm not sure which version is the standard to get for installing on a Win2k server environment. For some reason I'm thinking that the home version does not allow for logging on to a network and what not, but XP Professional does.

I'm looking to buy some new client PC's, and most everything these days is coming with XP. I might be able to find some with 2000 Prof. on them still, but it's getting difficult.

Dumb question, I know. But I'd rather ask it than not and make the wrong decision. I just haven't had the need to get familiar with XP until now.

Thanks,

Shawn

You can put Home edition on a network, you just can't join it to a domain. Professional gives you all that functionality, if it matters to you...
