If you have experence with Windows 2000, do the Pro test, it will be the easiest for you. But study and practice before ya take it so you know what the exam will be like.
Many of the questions on the Pro test can actualy have to do with networking, servers, licensing, etc... so be ready for those as well.

Do not study brain dumps... lack of knowledge combined with certs can get you fired!!!
And it makes the rest of us look bad...
It should cost you less than $500.00 to self-study your way to W2K MCSA:
--Buy a couple of older PCs (Pentium 133MHz+other minimums = $50.00 in Dallas, TX area)
--Get an eval copy of W2K Server and Pro from your local MS rep or their webpage
--Practice according to the test requirements and Technet...
You can get 100% if you study and practice!!! You can do it!!!
You need a little but more horespower for W2k3--but not much!! Use a P3/500MHz box for your servers... piece of cake!!
I know you only asked about the MCP (and W2K Pro 70-210) is the easiest... but do you want people to say you were satisfied to only do the easiest?

thanks gang,
i do have the win2k exp.
they need me to have a cert asap
to justify a promotion(local city gov)
but i wanted to know who/what is recommended
for test taking
so i know the type of tests and what to look for
and how to study, basically
Step 1 through step ???
just like taking sat's in high school, what books,
type of tests, sample questions....etc.....thanks guys!!

cramsession.com has test stats, studyguides that aren't braindumps, and lot's of certification-industry people to advise you... I'd really recommend getting a couple old PCs, practicing, and using either MeasureUp or Transcender to validate your practice...
You say that you have the Experience... how many times have you remotely installed W2K Pro from a server (for example)... do you know the steps?
It really helps to look at the MS page for the test you're going to take (for example, W2K Pro study guide is at Knowing that stuff cold will help a lot!!
Transcenders cost about $100... but they really help you focus your attention on testing styles and reading EVERYTHING before answering... (my area of weakness)
so,
Step 1: get all of the non-braindump study guides you want, starting with the MS webpage and the Sybex exam guide
Step 2: build a 1-4 PC home lab (should be possible with less than $500.00 bucks--I have 3 PCs and a small hub in mine)
Step 3: Practice and read, read and practice
Step 4: do the Transcender or MeasureUp thing
Step 5: repeat steps 3 and 4 until you score 100% every time
Step 6: go to to find a location and time convenient for you (I like Saturday mornings) and schedule your test
Step 7: Pass the test and earn your promotion
Depending on your experience levels and your life constraints (money, time, space, etc.) it can take between 1 and 4 weeks...

I passed the Pro exam yesterday, as others have pointed out - you can't just get by on day to day knowledge gained in your job.
I bought the Microsoft MCSE Core book set - this is great for getting the overall understanding of areas (for example I don't deal with EFS in my job so I needed to understand the concepts as well as command line switches). However it doesn't go into enough detail to answer some questions that can occur in the exam.
I also used Transcenders just for some practice tests (and make sure you read the answer explanations!).
One thing that I found and really annoys me about the Microsoft exams is some of the questions are either ambiguous or are really 'trick' questions. The Transcender questions all tested knowledge of the area and were pretty direct. This is what the real questions should be like IMO.
For example I had a question involving creating a share and assigning permissions based on certain requirements - you had to say which objectives were accomplished. I initially answered based purely on what permissions the scenario had mentioned had been set. however I then thought - by default the Everyone group gets full control on a new share and nowhere did it mention the Everyone group had been removed. So I changed my answer based on the assumption the Everyone group was still in place - so either I spotted a nasty trick question and answered it correctly or I made an incorrect assumption and answered wrongly.
Surely they should be testing knowledge of the subject (such as how to assign share permissions in this case) and not whether or not you remembered in the exam about the Everyone group (or at least ask directly which group is assigned permissions by default when a share is created if they want to test that knowledge).

I reccommend I have recently taken the 70-215 test (windows 2000 server). I took the exam before i found this test engine, and almost all the questions are from the test itself. They are fairly inexpensive, about $20 each, or you can buy the entire microsoft suite for $100.
