Oh, I thought it would affect transfer rates when the nodes are accessing the server's database.
The 10k SAS has:
2 x Dual Core Intel Xeon 5160 @ 3ghz (4mb cache) (1333mhz fsb)
8GB memory (4x2gb) (677mhz fbd) (what is 2r?)
6 x 400gb sas drives
15k SCSI has:
1 x Dual Core Intel Xeon 7210M @ 3ghz (4mb l3 cache) (800mhz fsb)
4gb ddr2 sdram (4x1gb 400mhz single rack dimms)
10 x 146gb scsi drives
No over clocking to take place, no use of a multiplier.
Also what does the memory frequency actually relate to? Does it mean that the machine processes will be limited to that speed since its the lowest rate?
Thanks again
