Hi Everyone,

I am currently using DreamWeaver 4 to quickly "mock up" my web pages. To fine tune I am using WordPad. Unfortunately swapping between the two views of the document leads to all kinds of indentation issues, the document gets "scrambled". I really need some advice on complementary editors. Ideally I want to keep using DreamWeaver (am just starting to get the hang of it) and I would like some suggestions on which simple text editors work well with it.

If anybody can give some kind suggestions it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Regards

David

so why not just use the 'code view' in Dreamweaver?

Chris.

Good point, I will give that a go. I usually do work with the design and code views acting simultaneously. This makes reading the markup a bit of a pain. Do you know any shortcut keys to speed up jumping between views? Or is there a way of having the code view "floating" over the other views. Any help will be super.

Thanks

Ctrl+' (apostrophe) switches between code and design views but as I never work outside of code view, I have no idea about the 'floating' posibility.

Surely the Dreamweaver manual would tell you all of the shortcut keys?

Failing that, I'm sure Macromedia offer technical support to licensed users of their products, and I'm sure they'd be happy to assist you with this query.

Hope this helps,
Dan
