Right click toolbar in Form Design mode and add/remove items. Swap to the COM Tab, and locate the Microsoft Flex Grid control. This will then add it to your design toolbar
Thanks, but it's not there. The only thing in there is the Videosoft FlexArray, which is a pain as it keeps asking for money etc. I would try and make a grid, however now find VN.Net does not have control arrays, even though ListBoxArray is ticked in tools. Microsoft seems to put users into dead end mazes with each product it comes out with.
You may also want to look into the Component One Flex grid. It's a .Net library, so no COM hassles. And you can get it from MS on the .Net Resource Library CD. search the forum for more info on it.
Thanks again. Found a reference to Component One, but they want a few pennies. I think I will try and master how I can get control arrays and make my own. I think the reason Flexgrid is not in my box is because VB6 is not loaded on this partition. Have a star for showing me where the next brick wall is.
Getting the c1 suit from C1 is expencive, but Microsoft has a Resource CD, at least they used to, that had a licensed copy of the c1 suit included. But the MS copy was either free, or like $10 for a burned and shipped CD.
Hi,
I want to add activex Flexgrid on VB.Net
I have located the Microsoft Flex Grid control under the COM Tab and added and it is still not appearing on my design toolbar.Any missing steps after this?Any change in properties?
You need to have VB 5 or 6 installed on the machine. The MS Flexgrid, while included in the COM objects with .Net does not included it's license. Why? No idea. There's a kb article about it over at Microsoft.com.
