I work for a TPM company, & we carry a kit of cables & connectors which can be combined to make console cables for just about any device.
To make a Cisco router console connection we use a straight cat 5 cable (which you probably have about you & is easier to find than a rollover) with a 9-way d-type to RJ45 addaptor connected like this:
You can pick up the adaptor for a couple of pounds/dollars/whatever. They are usually sold with wires & female pins fitted to the RJ45 end, & all you have to do is put the pins in the holes in the d-type end. In the UK Maplins, Farnells or Black Box can supply, and Black Box will build to order if you want.
Check into Kingston memory, it's half the price of Cisco branded memory.

IPKONFIG - I found some good prices on the Kingston - about $40 for the 8mb. I found some intel for about $23. I'm trying to keep this at a reasonable price for the router since it is only a testing router, not production so I might cheap out and get the intel. I'll need two of those and a 16mb for $10.
