I was working on a friends machine and before I rebuilt it, I re-imaged it using the symantec ghost software...So I have an entire image which I can use the ghost explorer to search and extract certain files to restore...

The user had many contacts...I suppose in a .wab file...I can't seem to find it anywhere on the image...Where is the .wab file anyway? I did a search for *.wa? and didn't see it anywhere in the results...I know it's there somewhere...Thanks in advance for your help!

There is not necessarily a .wab file if OE was sharing Outlook contacts.

If the contacts were shared, how would I find them? If I can browse through the entire ghost image similar to windows explorer...

Look for a .pab file

If the user has a wab file it should be under C:\documents and settings\"username"\application data\microsoft\address book. ("username" is the users profile folder) if the pc was win2k or XP.

Be aware that this Application data folder is hidden by default you must show hidden and system files to see it. This may be why your search showed no *.wab files.
