I have looked EVERYWHERE in Avaya's documentation and cannot find the file that stores the connection properties for all of my PBX's and voice mail systems. I need to re-install ASA on my machine and don't want to have to set up all of my connections again. Does anyone know where the file is located?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

The name of the file is persist.bat

I am not sure exactly where it is in ASA, but in DSA it is in the User directory of DSA.

Hope that helps

I think you it's persist.dat that you are looking for.

If you followed the default installation it should be in
c:\program files\Avaya\Asa\user\persist.dat

Thanks to both of you!! This is exactly what I was lookinf for.

As an FYI, I recommend making regular backups of your persist.dat and keeping it somewhere other than your PC. I've had several situations where one of my administrators' PCs was rendered unusable and rebuilt...and the IT people didn't know to back up that data. If I hadn't kept a copy, it would be a bad bad thing. Phonia
