Where did my disk space go

I installed Windows 2000 server on a single drive so I can do some testing. (All the servers are RAID and someone else set them up.) When I first ran the install, the hard drive regestered with 160GB. For reasons to long to explain, I re-did the installation. But on the second time through the install, only 130GB is showing for hard disk space. Where did my hard drive space go? Is there a utilities or diagnostic partition created that I can't see? How can I regain the storage space?

right click "my computer", select manage. In the management console, select disk management. The information you see is what your scsi controller is reporting to the OS.

You will have to use the software for your scsi controller to see how the drives are placed together as logical disks and arrays that are reported to the operating system. This software is usually a bootable CD or runs from the BIOS.

Start, Help. You'll be surprised what's there. A+/MCP/MCSE/MCDBA

I forgot to mention, this is only a single, 160GB drive. I did check under Manage, and that's where I discovered that Windows is only recognizing 130 GB on the drive. Yet, when I initially installed Windows 2000 server, the drive size was 160GB. I only partitioned 30GB for the operating system and some other apps I need to run on C. I left the rest unpartitioned until later. I went to Manage to partition the rest of the disk. That's when I found out the size wasn't correct. I ran a re-installation of Windows, figuring that I'll delete the partition and re-format the hard drive, but on the second install, only 130GB displayed. I tried again, and again only 130GB.
