I'm trying to make an old PC run quietly. The problem is the CPU fan, which I'd like to replace (I've tried and failed to mend it).

Does anybody know where I can get an ordinary CPU fan to fit onto a Pentium 2 466Mhz ordinary heatsink?

Any help would be much appreciated!

hit up pricewatch.com ... there should be more than a few listings for the fan you need. Matt Laski

This site is great!

I should have mentioned that I live in the UK, so unfortunately I can't buy any of pricewatch.com's products (without paying crazy shipping).

If anybody knows of a UK site that can help me out, please let me know!

Have you actually paid up for this fan?
Because I have one for free if you want it?

Cost of a stamp? Martin Just trying to help, sometimes falling short, I am only human after all.

Just a note for people who live in the uk:
All sort of yesterday’s technology could be bought from CPC including CPU fans.

Another way to do it is to by a CPU heat sink and fan (fan must have same diameter and fitting as yours) and just replace the fan.
