I was trying to create a boot floppy to start-up XP Pro in case of a problem and can't find any of the files in my root directory? I was looking for NTLDR, Boot.ini and winnt.ini. My system is booting up just fine so I was wondering how can it do this without the files in the root? This is more curiosity than actual concern. Thanks for your comments.

These are both Hidden and System files, you will have to set the correct option in Folder Options/ View to show these files.

These are the relevant files.
