When using a unrelated program which allows me to create IFA reports upon the preview screen the whole page is black up until a graph on the 2nd page. Been told this could be due xp display settings i.e should be set to win classic or i need to update the printer drivers. How do i get to the screen where i can select this windows classic settings any help or suggetions would be good.

It is unusual for a program to require the classic view to work. Your problem is probably elsewhere, either compatibility with the program you are running or something else.

I can only suggest you visit Windows Update and your Manufacturer's site to make sure everything is updated.
