Im using Crystal 8.5 Std edition and i created a report and Im trying a few different ways for distribution.. on a few of the ways im trying particulary if i try to create an .exe file i notice its asking for a a Logon Parameter when you select refresh vs. selecting use Saved Data... Im trying to make it so users can open the report if they dont use crystal and have the ability to refresh data and enter new parameters into the report.. Below is the exact error im recieveing
Ex.
Logon Parameters
Server: MS Access Database
Database: F:\Database Export Files\LOT TRANSACTION FILE1
User Name: Admin
Password

My question is does anyone know the default password because i never set a password for Access when i created the DB or even when i installed Access? Would this go away if i were to use ODBC for my middleware? OR is there a better way to distribute reports to users out in the field where they might not have crystal installed on their PC but need to print reports and enter new parameters to create the reports? Any help is appreciated

If the database requires a user/pw then security will enforce it.

They probably don't have the same pathing or permission to the database.

Try using the machine pathing, such as \\machinenameDatabase Export Files\LOT TRANSACTION FILE1
