WHEN TRYING TO AUTO SUM A RANGE OF CELLS THAT ARE SPLIT I.E
=SUM(D78:D98)+(E75:E85) ALL I GET IN THE TOTAL CELL IS #VALUE! INSTEAD OF THE TOTAL, WHY IS THIS...

CHEERS SIMON..

Hi

try this instead:
Code:
SUM(D78:D98)+[b]SUM[/b](E75:E85)

Cheers
Nikki

Or even this ...

=SUM(D78:D98,E75:E85)

separating the 2 ranges with a comma within the SUM.

Cheers, Glenn.

Or, in your original formula, add "SUM" in front of second bracket, i.e.:
=SUM(D78:D98)+SUM(E75:E85)

Combo
