I have been setting up Exchange Server 2000. For some reason, as long as the server monitoring is turned on, the computer gives a system beep every 30 seconds or so. I can't find any errors in the windows event viewer and just can't seem to find any reason why Exchange Server is beeping. By the way, when monitoring is turned off, the beeping stops.
If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Mike

Mike, I believe the beep is from the system attendent notifying you of an email being processed and hence nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know how to stop this beeping without stopping all monitoring?

Mike

Because I run it in the Comms room, the beep is reassuring when I go in there. Never looked.

Try pulling the speaker connectors :)
