Hi
I have an aspx form with a hyperlink. The imageUrl is a document relative gif file.
If I change the image (but not the file name) the old image still appears on the form even though it no longer exists in the directory.
Why is this and how can I get the new image to appear.

Thanks for any help

David

That's because your browser caches images so they don't have to be downloaded each time. The easist method is just to clear your browsers cache.

Alternatively, append a random querystring value onto the endo of your image name and as it changes each time your browser will think it is a different image and request it each time.

As a side note, I notice that although you have asked a few questions on the forums here, you haven't marked any of the answers as valuable, and I can only see one or two acknowledgements of other peoples responses. If you are not getting the answers that you need read FAQ222-2244 to see how to ask better questions. If you are getting the answers you need see FAQ222-2244 to see how to acknowledge the answers given.

Paragraph 16 of the FAQ explains about this being a two-way forum, to give guidance on answering other peoples questions, as I also notice that you haven't yet made any posts in other peoples threads.
