I've been asked if I could solve a little problem - and I have currently not found a solution to it.

One of my students has designed a VB 6 program to produce a printed invoice using the form.printform - which works great on his machine at home.

His screen resolution allows for the invoice to be displayed on the screen perfectly. However, when he reduces the resolution of the screen to 800x640 the bottom half of the report is missing - both on the screen and when printed out.

What I have noticed with VB6 is that you can not have a form taller that the size of the screen resolution - is this the case?

Anyways has anyone got any ideas on how I can get around this problem?

Thanks for any help given

Hello,

How about using Crystal Reports and design the form there so you are not dependent on the screen for formatting.

Hi jVegas.

My student has a large monitor and a high resolution monitor which has enabled him to create a form, when used with the .printform will printout very nicely on an A4 portrait piece of paper.

Once he comes to college to work on his program, the size of the form automatically reduces in size, because we have 15" monitors with 800x640 resolution - pretty pants really.

He is only using the form to build up an invoice which will be printed - it is never actually viewed on the monitor - well except at the moment to see what is going wrong.
