Currently when I forward a message in outlook, the attachments are not being included; the message forwards fine, but not the attachments. THerefore, when I receive a message that I need to forward that has attachments I'm forced to save all the attachments locally, forward the message and attach them all again from my local hd.... Is there setting that I can just change to include all attachments in forwarded messages?

I haven't seen this behavior. Are you sure you are forwarding, not replying? 'Reply' does not include the attachement, 'Forward' does include it.

100% sure.....

This is what's happening.... mike@work.com sends me an e-mail with two files attached. I can view the attachments perfectly. I then click on "Forward," and select Jim in the Global List and send him the e-mail. He recevies the e-mai message, but not the two attachments, outlook seems to have removed them along the way.....

What's weird is some people in the office (same everything) can forward messages and attachments are included.... So I was thinking it was a setting somewhere....

The exchange server is 5.5 SP3, but I don't think that's the issue here...

Ok I did some more testing.... Now I'm really lost..... Ok only *sometimes* does it not forward the attachments, and when this happens it says 'Could not open one or more attachments.'

Could this be blamed on the file format? I could forward an excel and word doc just fine, but when I tried a pdf file it gave me that message. I thought it may be a memory issue, but the pdf is extremely small and I have enough space in my inbox for it, plus as I said I can just go manually click forward and then add the saved attachment from my desktop... Any Ideas??

I tried it with another pdf and it worked fine...... SO confused... It seems the only pattern as to when it's happening is when I'm in a rush....

I've been browsing the Knowledge Base site for about an hour, thanks for the additional links =)

If you have Norton AntiVirus, make sure the email option to scan outgoing email is turned off.
