Say I have a main form we call "Main" which has an auto number field. I have a hyperlink on "Main" which opens another form called "Next". I would like the auto number from "Main" to be placed automatically in the "Next" form. Thank you for your help.

There are about a jillion ways to do this, so it's hard to tell which to recommend to you. I usually pass things in the openArgs argument of docmd.openform. You can also have the second form grab it in its open event. Or set it in the code on the first form immediately after opening the second. Or have a control on the second form that references the first form.

I could go on, but that's a decent selection of options.
