when an email is closed in outlook it goes straight into.....

.....the deleted items folder. No prompt or anything. Open and email in the in box, read the email, close the email and it goes straight to the deleted items folder. There is no rule set up to do this. Is there a setting I'm missing. The user said that this has been happening ever since she got her new system. The only person she told was a 3rd party consultant we brought in to help with a complete infrastructure upgrade. He forgot to mention it to anyone.

The system is a 1.4 Ghz Dell with 256MB of RAM running Windows 2K on a Windows 2K network.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Probably a corrupt .dbx file. Repair it.

Also check for spyware using spybot search and destroy.

If all fails try reinstalling outlook.
