Two queries that query a field work perfectly on their own. I need to action them with a command button, but the moment I do, they immediately think they must be parameter queries, and offer up a parameter question.

I've followed the advice in the Help files, deleted the queries and started again, yet nothing I do will stop the queries acting in this way.

Anyone had any experience like this, please, and found an answer?

They probably only seem to be parameter queries becuase they are prompting you to correct some ambiguity in the syntax. You have used an expression the SQL parser does not recognize so it is asking you what to use instead.

Just check your query syntax. You have probably misspelled a field name, left out brackets if one contains embedded spaces, etc.

You might want to test it on a down-level version of ODBC, JET, or whatever database connectivity you're using. Your users may not have the latest versions.

Are you using VB5/6 for this? Or VBA in the MS ACCESS application?

Will check these suggestions, Experts, thank you. Access 2K, CClint. Back soon. And very grateful.

If you are using the MS ACCESS application, then ask over in the MS ACCESS application forum702

Yes, CClint, all noted. Most obliging.
