Guys,

Is it possible to move mailboxes from one forest to another?

If so, what would I need?

Currently I have to seperate forests with trusts and one exchange server servicing both forests, everyhting is working fine.

I will be adding a new exchange server to the forest that doesn't have one and will need to move some mailboxes from the old exchnage to the new exchange.

But how do I go about that?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Rocket.

Thanks for your quick response sniper, I appreciated.

I forgot to mention, I've done some research and I'm kind of confuse which would be the most efficient way to go and if it will work.

I will be moving 30+ mailboxes but they are huge in size 4+ GB, so to do it over our dedicated PTP connection would be out of the equation.

I was thinking of doing the following:

A) Setup an AD site for the remote forest on the same physical network (192.168.1.0/24) where the current exchange server resides.
B) Setup the new exchange server on the newly created AD site.
C) Try to move the mailboxes from one server to the other thru Exchange wizard. (This way the traffic will stay local)

Both exchange servers will be on the same physical network, but in different AD forests, the trust are in place and working so I would think I dont have to do anyhting on this regard.

Would this work? Or am I misssing something?

Thanks again,

Rocket
