How do you find out the configuration of your system?

I.E., # of DIDs
# of analogue lines, # of digital lines
# of users, # of mailboxes?

To get PBX licensing info go into LD 22 at

REQ: SLT [enter]

ISSP will get you version and patch info
TID will give you the system serial number

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
to get package info go into LD 22
REQ: PRT [enter]
TYPE: PKG [enter]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For Meridian Mail, log into the tools menu by entering tools at the login prompt, and then enter in your mail password. Select option 11 (view system info). Just about everything you need to know about your mail system will be there.

number of did's is a matter of checking your bill.. no additional programing required, just build a set, if the co sends you the digits, it's a did..

sets go to load 81,
req cnt
cust 0
return down to feat

feat sets return return

that will tell you the number fo analog and digital sets.. go to the backup screen for your mail and you'll see the number of voice mail boxes

go into 117 and do a inventory will give you all the cards and sets cannected.

command inv generate all

and once done

inv prt all

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

mikeyb123, can this command in LD 117 be done any time of day? I never knew about this...thanks.

may take some time thou.. depends on the size of your m1

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

you can also use inv generate midnight, and it does an inv everynight.. but a day time inv doesn't bother my switch, it takes about an hour for 7000 sets

Mikey,

Tried ld 117 and got the following message,
"=> inv prt all
ALL (Card & Set Inventory)
Sets file is Non-existent, try again later"

Do you know what this means?

Tried your suggestion for vmail Brewer.
Gave me a lot of info, but I don't see anything about the # of vmailboxes i have.

If you need the number of mailboxes you have, you have to retrieve this info from the mail application itself.

did you do the generate first?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

the only place to get the actual number of mailboxes is from the backup screen of the mail, you can use ld 81 cnt with feat=to mwa, that will give you a count of stations with msg waiting allow, but that doesn't take into account sets that were copied but never had a mb built

The only other way I can think of is to go to the mailbox user administration area and do a Find (F5) and then a List (F3) with no parameters. However, this will list every mailbox in the system (it's usually a good way to find out who the mailbox hogs are). You could get an idea of your total number by counting the number on a screen, and the multiply that by the number of screens you have to scroll through before getting to the end.

from the main mermmail login screen option 2 then option 2 will give you a total count of mail boxes as well as a percentage of mem used
