What type of cable is needed for Console connection?

Does anyone know what type of cable should be used to connect a workstation computer to a Cisco 1600 series router (via the console port?). My laptop has not got any serial ports - only the rj45 network connection and usb.

get a usb to serial adapter (about $30) and use the console cable that came with your router

Console cable that came with router. Or a Roll over cable.

Best I can say is "Good Luck". I tried this with a little Dell 1100 (USB only) and a USB - Serial adapter cable. Thing was VERY unstable at any speed and unusable above 2400.
