what language was Microsoft Word developed in?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what language Microsoft Word was developed in?

Depends on the version, early DOS versions could be (partly) written in assember, but current versions are written in C and C++, AFAIK.

Actually I didn't know if it was written in VB6 or not (although I didn't think it was). I'll be more careful about placing my posts in the future - sorry.
