What kind of error is this: i8042prt?

The event is i8042prt
The description is : exceed the number of allowable retries, configurable via the registry.

I can configure the registry, but the question is what to configure? Anyone help?

i forgot to tell that i've searched it in microsoft's and got solution but the problem is.... it keeps on coming back... do you think it's a hardware failure?

Check that your keyboard or mouse buttons are not being accidentally depressed. I had a similar problem on one of our servers, whereby the person who checked the backup every day was logging out and then stuffing the keyboard down the side of the server cabinet!
