I have couple of questions for you relating to your Q&A on Windows 98/ME.
Q_1: I was using W-98 (first edition) until my friend gave me a excecuable file call "w9x1189_full.exe" which he claimed the program is an upgrade to Windows 98 Third Edition. The file is only 5.677 MB. After I installed the program, I noticed the Start picture seems to be half 98 and half ME. The icons are 3-D and the short-cut arrows are green in color. What exactly is the version of W-98? Could it be a W-98 Plus Pack which released after W-98 SE? How can I uninstal it safely and get back my old W-98 first edition?
Q_2: I am using a broadband cable modem with MS Outlook Express as my mail. I must have done someting that cause it lately to open up very, very, very slowly. To account for all the changes I made, I did back track by following Q271510 by fixing ===> the "Pstores.exe and the associated .dll files and delete/recreate the "ProtectedStorage registry" key. But there is no improvement.
