What is this?Where did it come from?

Hi All,
This appeared on my desktop from nowhere - 'Microsoft XML 4.0 Parser SDK'.
I certainly haven't downloaded it and looking into it using Google it seems to be a development tool? I haven't touched it, and I'm wondering if it's safe to delete it as Microsoft advise that to do so may affect other programs?
Any ideas please? Thanks

Just remove the shortcut from your desktop and be on your way. It won't hurt anything and you won't have to see it.

You can also go to add/remove programs and uninstall it, it's up to you.

Something you installed recently, whether it's a browser plug-in or some other software, may require it.

You can also try doing a system restore back to a time when it wasn't there.
