What is the difference between a hub and a switch 4

Im so slow :)Can I use a router/switch the same way I would use a router/hub?
With the router/switch will I be able to share info over both my pc's as I can with my router/hub?

To answer the question at the top of the thread;
"What is the difference between a hub and a switch"

Not-a-lot (if anything), on a small network - Quite a lot on a large network.
