what is the difference beetween outbound & inbound access list..?
please explain detailly, who want to help with this problem, I am a newbie of cisco, i need your help, thanks so much,

an inbound ACL checks the packets that try to come into the router, basically it doesn't reach the router when it is denied. Saves CPU for the router.
An outbound ACL checks the packets if its permitted to leave through that interface.

Access lists are placed onto interfaces on a router... so it's referring to traffic coming into our out of an interface. For example if you had a router with an ethernet interface and a serial interface and you wanted users on the ethernet segment to be able to telnet to the router, but not to anything beyond it you would place an outbound access list on the serial interface... that way they can access both the ethernet and serial ip addresses via telnet, but the moment it tries to travel out the serial interface to the rest of the network it will hit the access list and be blocked.
