Whats the standard/ name of the connectors used between an ATX case and the motherboard pins? I need to reconfigure the cables - due to the board having 2 pins but the cable connector from the ATX case power on light having 3. Cant seem to find any connectors sold seperately anywhere. Any guidance very much appreciated! Thanks.

If the case connector has only two wires you need to remove one of the connectors and move it over to the middle slot. You have to be careful. I used a sharp razor to cut the plastic housing and remove the connector.

Wish I knew the name of everything like Adam did, anyways go to radio shack and pick one up. May be a jumper connector thingamabob. Its low voltage so cutting the wires and crimping them to new connector without worrying about reversal should be no problem. How much voltage does it take to light an LED... Let everything that have breath praise the Lord.

Take a close look at the connectors- if you lightly ush/pull the cables, you will see that they stop at a small plastic tab. Gently reach under that tab with a toothpick or a paper clip and pry it up slightly. The cable and the connector will then slide out. Simply re-insert it in the slot necessary.

Thansk for your responses everyone. Pudda that worked a treat!
