Anyone have any idea why this is present in the registry??? Seems kinda odd to me!!
Hkey_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\Classes\HHCtrl.SystemSort.666

Any thoughts?

the HHCTRL.dll is the Microsoft HTML Help Control
hhctrl.ocx is a Microsoft ActiveX which supports all functions of the user help interface.

Systemsort.666 will be a part of its code

dunno to be honest. You will heave to look in some help file about the dll or take a look inside the dll. Looks like it is an object of some sort

Hammer92, you must smite thy machine for it carries the mark of the devil... 666! :)

Actually, that's like asking what that page of code means on a BSOD. I doubt 90% of the people at microsoft know what it means either.

I happened to be changing some security on a key close to this one and it just stood out. I actually said "What the .." Did a quick google and got nothing of use in english anyway). It just seemed odd. Could just be that someone at MS was having a bad day while writting some code.
